Welcome to the Wisconsin Auto Law Blog. My name is Ivan Hannibal, and I am a Wisconsin consumer protection attorney. I’ve spent my entire legal career representing the “little guy” against a wide array of predatory and unethical businesses and individuals. I’ve litigated cases involving debt collection harassment, false advertising, mortgage and bank fraud, home improvement scams, unfair and deceptive sales practices, illegal rental practices, and timeshare fraud, to name but just a few.
Nowadays, I limit my law practice almost entirely to cases involving or somehow related to the automobile industry, like auto dealer sales fraud, illegal repossessions, lemon law claims, financing fraud, motor vehicle repair disputes and warranty claims, among others. I decided to focus on these types of cases for the simple reason that they were always the ones that interested me the most.
I started this blog because I want to share some of the knowledge I’ve learned over the years with consumers who may be dealing with auto-related legal issues in Wisconsin. Moving forward, I anticipate identifying and discussing relevant statutes, administrative rules and judicial opinions, as well as commenting on interesting news stories on the subject.
One last point before we embark on this journey. As an attorney blogger, it is incumbent on me to inform you that this blog is for educational and informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice to you. You should not act upon the information herein without consulting an attorney, as individual situations and facts may vary. Reading this blog does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and me.
With that said, if you have a personal situation involving an auto-related legal issue in Wisconsin you’d like to discuss, feel free to call me for a free initial phone consultation. You can find my contact information on my website.
I hope you find the forthcoming information in this blog enlightening and, more importantly, useful.
Now let’s hit the road!
